Portugal

 

When my friends suggested that we travel to Portugal, I had no idea what to expect.  This country is definitely a hidden gem.  The city of Faro was full of character and beautiful colored murals hidden away in alleyways.  The Algarve region of Lagos and Albufiera has some of the most spectacular scenery I have ever seen.  In Lagos, I was able to learn more about Portuguese culture and taste some of their traditional food.  I have never been so culture shocked as I was when watching a traditional bull fight.  Don't worry, the bull is not killed afterwards in Portugal!
